Storyline:
Fourteen-year-old Zeki is having a hard time coping with the recent loss of his mother. His life turns upside down again when his father Mahir decides to move from Rotterdam to Istanbul.
Zeki and Mahir move to a luxurious gated community surrounded by high walls. While Mahir goes to work at the bank every day, Zeki spends the rest of his summer vacation in a fenced-off neighborhood.
Eager for freedom, Zeki decides to jump over the wall, run away from home and explore the rest of the city. Zeki ends up in a poor neighborhood, where he befriends Kemal and a group of children who live on the street and spend their days picking pockets.
The cheerful group quickly embraces Zeki, but he hides from them that he lives in a luxurious gated community for fear that they might reject him because of it.
